Alberto Perez-Crossland

From the moment young Alberto Perez-Crossland watched Jurassic Park, his destiny was sealed. Steven Spielberg’s groundbreaking film ignited a creative fire that would shape his entire career path, leading him to establish Almaster Productions, his independent film company in Miami, Florida.

Perez-Crossland’s journey into filmmaking began with graphic design studies during high school, providing him with a strong visual foundation. He then honed his craft at Miami Dade College, earning an Associate’s Degree in Film Production—a launchpad for his work as an independent filmmaker.

What sets Perez-Crossland apart is his versatility and reverence for cinema history. He directs short films and produces promotional content for clients and family, but his true passion shines through his stop-motion animation work. Drawing inspiration from legends Willis O’Brien and Ray Harryhausen—the pioneers who brought King Kong and Jason and the Argonauts to life—he keeps this classic art form alive in the digital age.

His creative pursuits extend beyond the director’s chair. As an actor since age 13, Perez-Crossland has performed in community theater productions and collaborated on friends’ short films, giving him unique insight into both sides of the camera. This dual perspective enriches his directorial vision and deepens his understanding of the filmmaking process.

Operating independently in Miami’s vibrant arts scene, Perez-Crossland represents a new generation of filmmakers who blend traditional techniques with contemporary storytelling. His commitment to continuous growth and learning reflects the dedication required to succeed in today’s competitive industry.

With dreams of making it big, Perez-Crossland embodies the spirit of independent cinema—passionate, persistent, and unafraid to honor the masters while carving his own path forward.
